Hong Kong Stock Market Midday Review

BYD's new generation ATTO3 has been launched in Hong Kong with an indicative price of 188,000 Hong Kong dollars.

Junda Co., Ltd. (02865) surged over 21%, with institutions optimistic about the growth potential driven by space-based solar power.

According to Zhitong Finance, the Hang Seng Index rose by 0.75%, up 197 points, to close at 26,578 points, while the Hang Seng Tech Index increased by 1.03%. The morning trading volume of Hong Kong stocks reached HKD 121.8 billion.

Following today’s close, Pony AI-W (02026) surged by 6.78% and Hesai-W (02525) gained over 4% as they were officially included in the MSCI China Index. MSCI previously announced the results of its quarterly index review for February 2026. This adjustment added 37 new stocks to the MSCI China Index, including Pony AI, SenseTime, and Hesai, with the changes taking effect after the market close on February 27.

Sun Hung Kai Properties (00016) rose by 7%, with underlying profit increasing by 16.7% year-on-year to HKD 12.213 billion, leading the blue-chip gains.

Tungsten prices continued to rise, with Jiaxin International Resources (03858) surging over 7%.

JL Mag (06680) rose by 4.36%. Rare earths have seen sustained price increases recently, with institutional analysts pointing to strong policy-driven support.

China Fortune Quantum (00290) surged over 5% again, with cumulative gains reaching 40% over the past seven trading days. The company is expected to join the Stock Connect program next month.

Eagle Precision (01286) rose over 5%, hitting another all-time high since its listing. The stock has cumulatively risen over 70% year-to-date.

Unisound (09678) surged by 7.65% after launching the Unisound U1-OCR Document Intelligence Foundation Model.

China Fortune Hydrogen Energy (02582) rose another 2%, with the company participating in a national-level nuclear fusion research platform’s cryogenic system project.

AGTech Holdings (08279) surged over 7% again, with cumulative gains nearing 140% since the holiday period. The company is partnering with the Hong Kong Gold Exchange to develop an international precious metals trading platform.

Chow Tai Fook (00659) fell more than 3% after reporting earnings. Its net profit for the first half of the year increased by over 15% year-on-year, with a dividend of 28 Hong Kong cents per share, representing an approximate 3% increase compared to the previous year.
