EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 31-year-old man was arrested in Horizon after officers discovered he had an active criminal warrant during a traffic stop, according to the Horizon City Police Department.
Police say on Monday, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle in the area of the 15000 block of Eastlake Avenue. A registration check revealed that the license plate on the vehicle belonged to another vehicle.
An officer made contact with the driver, who was identified as 31-year-old Pedro Hernandez.
Officers conducted warrants check on Hernandez and discovered he had an active criminal warrant with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office for the manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
Hernandez also had multiple outstanding traffic warrants with Horizon City Municipal Court, with a total amount of $2,000.
Hernandez was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for the active criminal warrants.
