The Detective Branch of Police have arrested a Chinese national and a Bangladeshi with 76 stolen mobile phones, mobile parts and two cartons of syringes in the Bashundhara residential area.
The arrested are Wang Yujian, 33, and Alfat Hossain Shuvo, 26, according to a Dhaka Metropolitan Police statement issued on Thursday.
The statement said that two teams of the DB Cyber Unit conducted a joint raid in Bashundhara area at 11:00pm on Wednesday night and arrested them with the stolen mobile phone sets and syringes.
During the raid, the DB teams recovered 45 iPhones of different models, 31 Android phones of various brands, 10 mobile phone displays, a laptop, a mobile checkerboard, a phone battery booster, a phone toolbox, phone casings, two cartons of syringes, and a money-counting machine from their possessions, the statement added.
It said that the police produced them before the court after completing legal procedures
