Vogue World’s Hollywood Spectacle Supports Costume Community Impacted by Wildfires

Vogue World staged its 2025 installment, Vogue World: Hollywood, on Sunday, October 26th, transforming Paramount Studios into a tribute to the fusion of film and fashion. The evening was marked by stellar performances, a star-studded guest list, and a significant charitable contribution, raising over $3 million for various organizations since the event’s inception. The show’s energy peaked with musical headliners Doja Cat and Gracie Abrams, who delivered performances for the live and worldwide livestream audience.

Anna Wintour, Vogue’s global editorial director and Condé Nast’s chief content officer, was in attendance alongside a who’s who of Hollywood. Director Baz Luhrmann took center stage to guide his former Moulin Rouge! star, Nicole Kidman, who kicked off the proceedings with a backstage rendition of “Put the Blame on Mame,” channeling Rita Hayworth’s iconic performance as the femme fatale in the classic 1946 noir film, Gilda.

The show featured a vibrant mix of homages to famous film characters divided into eight acts by era, including a Wakanda dance performance and a tribute to Diane Keaton’s iconic character from Annie Hall.

The event’s centerpiece was the sartorial spectacle celebrating the rich conversation between Hollywood’s costume design legacy and modern fashion. Leading costume designers partnered with luxury fashion houses to both reimagine and create original costumes inspired by classic movies. Noteworthy pairings included Colleen Atwood with McQueen, Ruth E. Carter with Balmain, Milena Canonero with Louis Vuitton, and Sandy Powell with Valentino

Beyond the glamour, the event served a critical philanthropic purpose. 100% of ticket proceeds from Vogue World: Hollywood went to the Entertainment Community Fund, with a specific focus on supporting costume community professionals impacted by the recent Los Angeles wildfires. Vogue collaborated directly with the Costume Designers Guild (local 892 IATSE) and the Fund to identify those most directly affected.
