Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas are back for a new series and will be scoring the stars on their performances each week.

Then, as usual, the public will be able to have their say, voting for the celeb they want to save from elimination.

However, public voting for Strictly Come Dancing has changed this year.

All voting will be “online only” in 2025, the BBC has confirmed.

To vote, visit the Strictly page on the BBC website or scan the QR code, which will appear during episodes of Strictly (which will take you directly to the voting page).

Before you vote, you will need to create a BBC account. If you already have one, just make sure you are logged in.

When the vote is open, it will appear at the top of the Strictly homepage (a link to which can be found above).

To cast your vote, select your favourite dancing duo by clicking the plus (+) icon next to their name.

Once you have finished your voting, click submit.

How voting on Strictly Come Dancing works

The public vote is combined with the judges’ scores to determine who will face the dreaded dance-off on the Strictly results show on Sundays.

Couples are awarded points depending on where they place on the leaderboard following the judges’ votes on a live show.

For example, in the first week of voting, when there are 15 couples, the top-placed pair will receive 15 points, whereas those who finish last will receive 1.

Couples are also ranked on a leaderboard following the public vote.

Once again, points are then issued depending on a couple’s placing on that leaderboard.

The BBC adds: “The points from the judges’ scores and the public vote are added together and a new combined ranking created.

“In the event of a tie in the combined ranking the number of public votes for each couple will resolve the tie.”

Judges voting “twist” introduced in 2025

There will also be a change to the way judges vote during Strictly results shows in 2025.

For seven years, head judge Shirley Ballas has had the deciding vote as to who stays following a dance-off on a results show.

But in 2025, the decision will be shared, with a different judge casting the deciding vote each week.
