THE BOSS of the cash-strapped Police Federation earned £600,000 in salary and bonuses last year.
It means the head of the rank and file officers’ “union” Mukund Krishna earned twice as much as Met Police commissioner Sir Mark Rowley.
Mr Krishna’s vast pay award was revealed to Parliament by Labour MP and former Met Police inspector Jonathan Hinder.
The Sun understands Mr Krishna earns a basic salary of £340,000 plus up to 100 per cent bonus.
Mr Hinder told fellow MPs last week: “The chief executive reportedly took over £600,000 last year.”
He asked policing minister Sarah Jones: “Will the ministerial team review whether this monopoly can really serve the interest of our brave police officers?”
The federation has not revealed Mr Krishna’s salary or submitted accounts since 2023.
He was made CEO to settle claims made in the wake of a pension case ruling in 2023.
An employment tribunal found the Federation had discriminated against officers who had previously made claims against the Government after being moved on to less generous pension schemes.
A source said: “He has saved the Fed a fortune.”
