It will be the first show Lineker has fronted since exiting his role on the BBC’s Match of the Day back in May and moving to the rival channel.
The 64-year-old recently ended Ant and Dec’s 23-year winning streak at the National Television Awards (NTAs) when he took home the publicly-voted for presenter prize.
Reality TV star Joey Essex and Lorraine presenter Ranvir Singh are among the famous faces taking part in The Box, which will be filmed in the UK later this year and air in 2026.

In the show, 10 yellow boxes house a celebrity contestant who will be transported to unknown locations, before being released to face whatever game awaits them on the other side of the door.
Each week two players will face The Duel, a finale in which the loser leaves the competition for good.
