Exeter Airport overtakes bigger rivals to be rated UK’s number one

Exeter Airport has been named the best airport in the UK for customer experience, according to the latest survey by consumer group Which?.

The airport secured an overall customer score of 80 per cent, placing it ahead of every other airport in the country, including Liverpool and London City, and earning the coveted status of Which? Recommended Provider.

The annual survey asked thousands of passengers to rate airports on a range of factors such as check-in, security, seating, toilets, and staff.

Exeter topped the table, praised for its smooth processes and welcoming atmosphere.

It was one of six airports nationwide to receive the Recommended Provider status, alongside Bournemouth and Norwich, which are also part of the Regional & City Airports group.

Exeter Airport Managing Director Stephen Wiltshire said the result reflects the hard work of staff who strive to deliver excellent service to passengers.

“We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised as the UK’s best airport by Which?,” he said.

“This award is a testament to the dedication of our teams who make sure every customer’s journey through the airport is as easy and enjoyable as possible.”

The recognition comes at a time of growth for Exeter Airport, which serves as a travel hub for the South West with flights to UK and European destinations.

By beating larger rivals such as Liverpool and London City, Exeter has proven that a smaller regional airport can set the national standard for passenger satisfaction.

For travellers, the message is clear: when it comes to customer experience, Exeter Airport leads the way.
