Manchester City has signed goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris Saint-Germain, the Premier League club confirmed on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old Italian has penned a five-year deal, with Ederson ending his eight-year stint at the club with a move to Fenerbahce.
“To have signed for Manchester City is such a special and proud moment for me,” said Donnarumma.
“I am joining a squad packed with world-class talent and a team led by one of the greatest managers in the history of football in Pep Guardiola. This is a club every player in world football would love to join. I have admired watching Manchester City for many years – so to now be able to play for the Club is a huge honour and a privilege,” he added.

After coming up through the ranks at AC Milan, he was named Serie A’s Best Goalkeeper for the 2020-21 season when the club finished second in the league.
The following year, he moved to PSG, where he won four Ligue 1 titles, three Trophee des Champions, two Coupe de France titles and the club’s maiden UEFA Champions League title.
On the international level, he helped Italy lift the EURO 2020 title, showcasing his shot-stopping ability in the dramatic penalty shoot-out win against England in the final. His heroics throughout the competition also earned him the Player of the Tournament award.
