ROANOKE, Va. – The popular consignment sale, Savvy Swap, where you can buy things like women’s, men’s, and even juniors’ clothing, is back this weekend.
“People are always looking for ways to save money and help the environment. All the items that our sellers bring in are great quality, you know. They have plenty of life left. They’re just something that maybe someone else has either outgrown or lost weight and can no longer wear, and so instead of donating them on, it’s nice to earn a little extra money on things that people can make use of,” said Savvy Swap Owner Ellen Cleveland.
Savvy Swap is the sister sale to the LFA Kids Sale. You can expect to spend, on average, around $6 to $7 on items. You can even find name brands like Lily Pulitzer, Coach and Kate Spade at substantial discounts.
10 News spoke with a couple of teens who have shopped at Savvy Swap before.
“I would encourage a lot of people to come here. They have great deals and other things that you can buy,” said Ella Shuler.
“We’ve found a bunch of stuff that we’ve been looking for, like a lot of stuff that is not sold in stores anymore,” said Ava Martin.
Kim Michaels has also shopped the sale before.
“You’re getting good quality at a good price, you know. You’re making the money so you can spend it in here,” said Michaels.
The consignment sale opens to everyone on Saturday and continues through Aug. 30 at Towers. If you’re a seller, you can shop on Friday, Aug. 22, from 5:30 to 7 pm.
