The Avir at Longview nursing home held its annual fashion show Friday, bringing some back-to-school joy to children, their families and nursing home residents.
The theme of the annual event was “Back to School Old School.” Children wore different back-to-school outlets as music from the ‘90s played.
Tana Pierce, activity director at the nursing home, said children of staff members participated in three categories: casual, sporty and Sunday best as they walked down the red carpet. Each participant received school supplies.
The nursing home also hosted the “Grilling with Gratitude” event to show appreciation to local first responders.
