Man slashed during attempted robbery in popular Hong Kong tourist area

A man was slashed in a robbery attempt in Hong Kong’s Tsim Sha Tsui on Thursday afternoon.

Two men targeted the victim outside the Golden Crown Court building on Nathan Road, near Carnarvon Road, at around 4.40pm.

The assailants attempted to steal the man’s luggage, which reportedly contained a large sum of foreign currency.

During the struggle, the victim sustained a knife wound to his forehead while resisting the robbery. The attackers fled empty-handed.

The victim, reportedly from Turkey, was treated at the scene and subsequently transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Police officers conducted a thorough search of the area, and the Yau Tsim district crime squad is investigating the incident.
