Three people suffered leg injuries when they were knocked down by a wild boar that was found roaming inside an MTR station and at a residential estate in Hong Kong on Friday, with another woman bitten by the animal.

Police said a 68-year-old woman was reportedly bitten by the animal, while the three others, two men and one woman aged 45 to 87 were knocked down.

They were taken to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin for treatment.

Replying to inquiries from the South China Morning Post, the MTR Corporation said a staff member saw the wild boar enter the Wu Kai Sha station concourse at around 5pm. The animal knocked down a passenger before fleeing the premises.

“The staff member then immediately called an ambulance for the passenger, as well as notified the police and the Agricultural, Fisheries and Conservation Department about the incident” a spokesman said.
