如果有一天，我的學生被我發現交出來的功課原來搵人做，但向我解釋裏面的概念是他「原創」的，只不過做功課的人不是他本人、是他請人替他做而已，那聽起來有沒有不妥？ 又或我們學者要出研究論文，我只提供「原創」的研究概念，然後搵人從頭到尾幫我寫，但刊登論文的時候就出我自己的名字，亦無提及整個研究的執行，其實是出自他人之手，被人踢爆後，我一味强調idea是原創的，還大言不慚地說：「概念是我的，只是文字別人代筆罷了！」那有沒有問題？日後的學術誠信還能否站得住腳？ 有些事，是基於很根本的道德常理認知，例如學生交功課當然是假設出自其人手筆，學者出論文當然是假設不會抄襲、不會假手於人，若這麼根本的認知也欠缺的話，是有問題的，即使一味強調擁有「原創」概念。 有一句說話，道出重點來：「Ideas are cheap, execution is everything」。 誰沒有idea？誰不曉得原創？有能力者，是能把腦袋裏面的概念執行出來。學術界的基本倫理是：不僅概念要原創，執行也必須透明誠實。若按此邏輯，所有學生都可以僱人寫論文，然後理直氣壯地說：「想法是我的。」–那學術還有何誠信可言？ 有dignity（尊嚴）和Integrity（誠信）才能有資格獲得尊重，這不僅是求學問的態度，也是做人處事的基本原則，開學伊始，與學子共勉。 撰文 : 利嘉敏 欄名 : 攻關女子 Source link
