On June 11, elegance met intention under the high ceilings of The Mason in Oak Cliff. Guests gathered for a one-of-a-kind fashion experience that fused luxury, legacy, and community uplift. In partnership with Woodford Reserve, Don Morphy and Threads for Change joined forces to make waves on and off of the runway with the Man of the Moment Runway Show.
A Night For Fatherhood
The evening was more than just a fashion show. It was a full celebration of fatherhood, family, and purpose. Local fathers – change makers, entrepreneurs and industry moguls – graced the runway to be honored during the show.
Guests were welcomed into one of Dallas’s most stunning venues for a cocktail hour that could only be described as refined indulgence. With Woodford Reserve cocktails specially curated to match the sophistication of the night’s fashion, the energy was palpable from the first pour. Flavors rich with vanilla, oak, and warm spice set the tone — bold, complex, and unmistakably smooth.
The fashion show was far more than stylish; it was generational. At the center of the evening stood the dynamic father-son duo behind Threads for Change and Don Morphy.
The Designing Duo
Don Morphy founder Daniel Mofor is already known for tailoring excellence that has graced celebrities and NFL stars alike. However, it was his 13-year-old son Dacyn Mofor who stole the spotlight this night.
Already a globetrotter and rising designer, the young prodigy showcased his own striking collection — a bold statement of youth creativity rooted in cultural pride and paternal mentorship. And the crowd erupted when his designs hit the runway.
Many of the collection’s effortlessly comfortable fashions were influenced by footballers who inspired the young designer. Mofor’s son executed a collection that sets his designs at the crossroads of comfort and class; athleisure and elegance.
Timeless Threads
From custom business and formal wear fit for fathers, to athletic-inspired looks modeled by NFL athletes, the show was a masterclass in versatility. Highlights included the sharp sophistication of the Don Morphy Black & White Collection and the dynamic Tangwa Collection, which married traditional African aesthetics with modern flair.

But fashion was just the surface reason for the occasion. Proceeds from the evening supported Threads for Change, a growing initiative aimed at empowering underserved youth through creative arts. Threads for Change also employs entrepreneurship and personal development to inspire young people to pursue vibrant careers on and off of the runway. The runway, in this case, was also a platform — walking with purpose, not just prestige.
As Father’s Day approached, this event became more than a tribute. It was a challenge to redefine masculinity, legacy, and leadership through the lens of art and advocacy. Reginald Rembert, the owner of Rembert Custom Builders and silver sponsor for the event, also spoke to the importance of fatherhood, and the necessity to set the example for the youth.
It was also a fascinating, exciting glimpse into the future.

More Than Fashion: Why It Mattered
While the fashion was front and center, the heart of the evening was about impact. Proceeds from the event supported Threads for Change initiatives, including:
- Dress for Success Program – Providing underserved youth with professional attire and hands-on career workshops.
- TFC Scholarship Program – Offering financial aid and leadership training for future community changemakers.
- Prom Suit Drive – Ensuring high school students can celebrate milestones with confidence and style.
Additionally, the event contributed to ongoing donation drives that supply ties, suits, and meals to local shelters and food banks—addressing food insecurity and restoring dignity through action.
The Final Walk: From Celebration to Commitment
As the show closed and the afterparty began at 9:30 PM, the message was clear: this was more than a fashion show—it was a call to action. A night of stunning design and joyful celebration was also a night of generosity and community building.
To walk the runway at Man of the Moment was to walk with purpose. To attend was to invest in the future.
