Most of the windows and glass walls are in place, and the walls for offices and meeting rooms are being built. The first electrical and heating systems are being installed, and work on the external building for the electricity supply, heat pumps, and bin store will start soon.
When complete, the Innovation Centre will offer modern office space and support for new businesses in Workington.

The steel frame has been made from 95 per cent recycled steel, saving an estimated 159 tonnes of CO2, which is the equivalent to heating 424 UK homes for a year.
The £23.1 million project is part of the Workington Town Deal, funded by the UK Government. The money also supports other local improvements, including a new sports village, upgrades to Workington Port, and better public spaces.
The Innovation Centre is expected to be an important hub for local businesses, helping the town grow and providing opportunities for entrepreneurs.
