Wolves have submitted a ‘concrete offer’ to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Amine Adli, with the Bundesliga club demanding in the region of £26m to allow him to leave, according to German outlet BILD.
It’s been a relatively disappointing summer transfer window for the Midlands club, losing two of their key players in Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha, who joined Manchester City and Manchester United, respectively. Vitor Pereira’s side have brought in some attacking options to replace Cunha, with Jhon Arias and Fer Lopez, but they are yet to replace Ait-Nouri.
Considering the importance of Cunha and the production he displayed in the final third, we could see Wolves bring in further additions in attack.
Wolves Submit Concrete Offer to Sign Amine Adli
Bayer Leverkusen demanding in the region of £26m
According to a report from BILD, Wolves have made a concrete offer to Bayer Leverkusen star Adli, and the Moroccan international has asked the Bundesliga club to hold talks. Leverkusen are set to demand in the region of £26m to allow him to head through the exit door, and it’s claimed that he’s unlikely to receive much game time next season despite the sale of Florian Wirtz to Liverpool.
A separate claim from journalist Julien Laurens has claimed that Adli would be open to a move to the Premier League during the summer transfer window. Adli is a versatile player who can be deployed in an attacking midfield position, out wide, and also in a deeper role in the middle of the park.
Described as an ‘excellent dribbler’ by Breaking The Lines, Adli will be hoping to receive regular game time at his next club after being in the shadows of Wirtz during his time at Leverkusen, and there could be an opportunity for him to stake his claim at Molineux with Cunha now out the door.
Adli is undoubtedly an excellent player waiting to unlock his full potential, and he’s unfortunate that he’s been behind Wirtz in the pecking order at Leverkusen. Pereira showed during the 2024/2025 season that he can give freedom to attacking players, such as Cunha, so Adli could flourish in his system.
