Bournemouth looks to keep up its strong start to the young English Premier League season against a solid Newcastle squad on Sunday.
There were not many expectations for Bournemouth heading into the 2025-26 campaign. Yet, the club has come out of the gates hot over the first month of the season. After a tough loss to the defending EPL champions, Liverpool, in their first matches of the season, the Cherries have responded with solid victories over Wolverhamption, Tottenham Hotpsur and Brighton. While there is still a lot of football to be played, Bournemouth has instituted some hope early on.

Alarm bells are not going off quite yet in Newcastle, but the squad has not necessarily looked strong in opening weeks of the year. The Magpies finally scored their first win of the season last weekend against Wolves, but having lost to Liverpool, while also drawing with Aston Villa and Leeds, many are not pleased with Newcastle’s start to the season.
Newcastle and Bournemouth are deadlocked 7-7-7 all-time, with the Cherries coming away with a win at St. James’ Park this past January.
