Warwick Castle has featured in a list of the most beautiful buildings in the United Kingdom.

Drawn from a poll of 2,000 people, the rankings are topped by Buckingham Palace, and also include York Minster, Durham Cathedral and St Paul’s Cathedral.

Warwick Castle came in sixth in the list, and is the only building in Warwickshire and the West Midlands included in the top 25.

The survey was commissioned by Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland.

Suzanne Cannon, head of marketing at Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland, said: ‘It’s clear to see that the UK is home to so many stunning buildings, both new and old, and it’s great that so many Brits recognise it as a beautiful staycation spot.
