Users of the United Airlines mobile app can now gain access to step-by-step gate directions with estimated walk times, live flight status notifications, and alerts if the airline’s ConnectionSaver system is holding a departing flight for passengers with tight connections. The airline also offers automated rebooking options for missed flights and location-based guidance to help travelers navigate large airports efficiently.
During a beta testing phase earlier in the year, these tools demonstrated a 98% success rate in helping passengers make their connections.
