The annual fundraiser, organised by Alyssa Bates from the UK Power Networks Colchester office, was held at the Brantham Athletic ground and saw teams from UK Power Networks’ Fore Hamlet and Brunel Way offices go head to head.
The event has raised around £8,000 for charity over the six years since Ms Bates began organising the matches.
A spokesperson for Prostate Cancer UK said: “A huge thank you to UK Power Networks and their employees for raising vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK. One in eight men will get prostate cancer, but the earlier you find it, the easier it is to treat.
“Money raised will go into funding groundbreaking research, supporting campaigns that raise lifesaving awareness and helping to fund our support services for men living with and after prostate cancer. Thank you.”
The match ended in a 4-3 win for the Colchester team, despite Ipswich leading 2-0 at half-time.
The game was refereed by Pat Brooks, head of network operations in the eastern region.
The match is sometimes held twice a year.
