For those trying to make healthy lifestyle changes to prevent type 2 diabetes, Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Nutrition offers the PreventT2 lifestyle change program. With Prevent T2, a trained lifestyle coach and fellow participants will encourage enrollees to make healthy changes that will last a lifetime.

This program will help participants:

  • Make healthier food choices without giving up the foods they love;
  • Add physical activity to their lives, even with limited time;
  • Deal with stress;
  • Cope with challenges that can derail their hard work—such as how to choose healthier options when eating out; and
  • Get back on track—because everyone slips now and then.

A virtual information session will be held Tuesday, Jan. 7, from noon to 1 p.m.

The program will begin Tuesday, Jan. 14, with sessions held from noon to 1 p.m.
