Tyla was honoured as one of Glamour UK’s Women of the Year 2025 following a phenomenal run in both music and fashion, proving she’s as much a visual artist as she is a performer.
It seems Thursday night was unofficially declared “no bra, no problem” night, as Tyla joined the braless brigade in a look from George Trochopoulos’ Fall 2025 collection — one that blends surreal craftsmanship with early 2000s nostalgia.
The ensemble featured a bolero jacket crafted entirely from real mussel shells, painstakingly arranged to create a glistening, armour-like texture that shimmered under the lights.
The jacket reportedly took over 200 hours to construct, with each shell individually cleaned, filed, and hand-dyed. It’s absurdly impractical, but it stands as a statement of fashion as art — audacious and unforgettable.
It’s part Poseidon’s daughter, part Y2K club muse, and all Tyla.
Paired with a sheer black knit maxi skirt, there’s something deliciously rebellious about this — a tactile, almost sculptural creation that Tyla sells with ease.
