Two people were shot Saturday night near the Daytona Beach Boardwalk, according to police, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The Daytona Beach Police Department reported the shooting on social media at around 10 p.m. Saturday. Police were advising people to avoid the area “as our officers work to secure the scene and gather information.”
Police promised there would be additional details to follow. Police along the beaches have stepped up security as Saturday marked the start of the annual spring celebration.
