Hong Kong’s weather forecaster will lower the No 8 typhoon signal at 10.20am on Thursday, as Tropical Storm Toraji is set to weaken gradually and education authorities announce that classes of afternoon schools will resume.

“Classes of PM primary and secondary schools and evening schools will resume today,” the Education Bureau said.

The Airport Authority is also expected to offer updates on flight arrangements at around 8am.

A check by the Post showed most flights to and from Hong Kong were able to land or take off normally.

The Hong Kong Observatory said Toraji would weaken and move away from the city, and the local winds will moderate gradually during the day today, adding the signal will be lowered to No 3 at 10.20am.
