1. Indonesia AirAsia to Open 2 New International Routes Ahead of Year-End Holiday

TEMPO.CO, Hong Kong – Low-cost carrier Indonesia AirAsia planned to launch two to three new international routes by the end of 2024, building upon the success of its recently established Jakarta-Hong Kong and Bali-Hong Kong routes, which have received positive feedback and high passenger traffic.

“Two of the new routes are planned for China and India,” announced Eddy Krismeidi, Head of Indonesia Affairs and Policy at Indonesia AirAsia, during the Indonesia AirAsia Meets Hong Kong event in Hong Kong on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

2. 2026 World Cup Qualifiers: Indonesia vs China 1-2, the First Loss for Garuda Team

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Indonesian national football team marked its first defeat in the third round of the Asian Zone 2026 World Cup qualifiers against China on Tuesday, October 15. The Garuda team lost 2-1 in today’s match at the Qingdao Youth Football Stadium.
