Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly is in Tampa, Florida this weekend for the 93rd Meeting of the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM).
The annual conference kicked off on Thursday.
Mayor Kelly led a panel on artificial intelligence on Friday before taking some time to talk to Local 3 News about the AI panel and his goals during the conference.
He said his team uses Google Workspace to get constituents faster and better answers.
Kelly said his administration uses “Google NotebookLM” to analyze and accurately summarize large documents to save time.
“We can actually ingest and ask it questions and summarize the document. You can turn it into a podcast. So for some of us in city government that have to process these huge documents, it allows us to do that very quickly and accurately,” Mayor Kelly said.
Kelly said his goal during conference is to hear from other mayors about how they are addressing affordable housing.
The conference continues until June 22.
