The Live Healthy Chattooga County Coalition is set to host its First Annual Health Fair, taking place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 8 AM to 12 PM at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center. This free community event offers residents the opportunity to take charge of their health with over 30 local vendors providing essential health services and wellness information.
The Health Fair will feature free health screenings and wellness resources, including cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and BMI checks, HIV testing, prostate and colorectal cancer screenings, hands-on CPR training, skin cancer screening, stroke assessments, free COVID-19 test kits, free Narcan training and distribution, foot screening and nail trimming, vision and dental screening, and free food distribution.
The Atrium Health Mobile Mammography Unit will also be on-site to provide breast cancer screenings. Appointments are required—call 706-509-6840, Option 1, to schedule.
“This health fair is a wonderful opportunity for everyone in our community to get valuable health screenings, access educational resources, and connect with local health professionals,” said Allison Agnew, Health Fair Coordinator for the Live Healthy Chattooga County Coalition. “Early detection is one of the most effective ways to prevent and treat cancer. Offering free prostate, colorectal, and mammography screenings at our health fair allows us to provide vital resources to our community members and encourage them to take proactive steps toward their health. We want to empower everyone in Chattooga County to prioritize their well-being and make sure cancer prevention is part of their health routine.”
To support accessibility, Chattooga Transit will provide free transportation to residents of Saratoga, the Hi-Rise, and the Breakers.
This event is open to the public and is the perfect chance to check in on your health, learn more about local wellness resources, and connect with community members dedicated to improving well-being. All services and resources are completely free, and no insurance is required.
