Following a successful run of shows across the UK and Europe this past summer, Las Vegas dark rockers The Nocturnal Affair have announced they will be returning to these shores in November. They will once again be joining Wednesday 13, this time on the “Mid Death Crisis UK Tour”, with special guests The Soap Girls also on the bill.
Vocalist Brendan Shane expressed his excitement about the upcoming dates: “Honoured to be joining Wednesday 13 and The Soap Girls on the Mid Death Crisis UK Tour in November! Our summer tour with these guys was one we will never forget, can’t wait to reunite, do it all again but even better.”
The announcement follows a memorable summer for the band. Their latest single, a “metal-ification” of Haddaway’s 1993 dance-pop classic “What Is Love”, has been climbing the US Billboard radio charts. This success coincided with their extensive tour opening for Wednesday 13, Drowning Pool, and Max Cavalera’s Nailbomb on respective shows, earning them a growing fanbase.
The brainchild of singer/songwriter Brendan Shane, The Nocturnal Affair channels a crushing and melancholic style reminiscent of influences like Type O Negative, HIM, and Nine Inch Nails. Their debut album, (META)MORPHOSIS, produced by Grammy-nominated Disturbed bassist John Moyer, has solidified their place in the alternative scene. Another of the band’s singles, “Cross Me Out”, has achieved almost three million views on YouTube, further cementing their growing reputation.
