This popular Madewell tank is one of my default basics, now that low-slung bottoms are the new norm. The straight, hip-length fit hits at just the right spot for mid-rise denim, but the ribbed cotton fabric isn’t too bulky to tuck into higher-rise trousers and skirts.
My favorite detail is the neckline. It’s just a hint wider than a traditional crew neck, creating a bra-friendly cut that showcases necklaces nicely. The stretchy material is opaque enough for me to go braless, and it holds its shape nicely throughout the day. And at that price, what’s not to love?
