The Alaska DMV is now offering mobile IDs that people can show on their phones

“The idea behind mobile credential is protection of your information. So when you hand your driver’s license to someone, your physical driver’s license to someone, you are handing over your photo, your address, your height, weight, all of those things that are personal information that maybe you don’t always need to share.”
