Taylor Swift has mentioned Spanish football club Real Madrid in her new album The Life of a Showgirl.
Swift released her 12th studio album on Friday and the American pop singer namechecked the La Liga side on her song Wi$h Li$t.
What did she say?
“They want that freedom, living off the grid.
“They want those three dogs that they call their kids.
“And that good surf, no hypocrites.
“They want it all.
“They want a contract with Real Madrid.”
It is unclear why the 14-time Grammy winner referenced Real or who she is specifically referring to in her lyrics.
Swift did play two sold-out Eras Tour shows at Real’s Bernabeu home in 2024.
The 15-time European champions embraced the interest from Swifties, posting a photograph on social media of Aurelien Tchouameni wearing headphones with the caption: ‘NOW PLAYING: @taylorswift13 Wi$h Li$t (2025)’.
Not wanting to miss out on the attention, rivals Atletico Madrid released a photograph on X of Marcos Llorente and Pablo Barrios, captioned ‘Our Wish List’.
