Super Bowl 59 is set to bring the who’s who of Hollywood to New Orleans with a blockbuster matchup between Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs and Jalen Hurts’ Philadelphia Eagles. Mahomes and Hurts have become celebrities in their own right, but the quarterbacks aren’t the only A-listers willing their respective teams to victory. From Taylor Swift (Chiefs) to Kevin Hart (Eagles), here’s a list of celebrity fans who will be cheering on each team in Super Bowl 59:

The Kansas City Chiefs fandom is referred to as Chiefs Kingdom. “I’m glad that I get to be a part of Chiefs Kingdom and here in Kansas City because these (are) moments that I’ll have for the rest of my life,” quarterback Patrick Mahomes said after the Chiefs punched their ticket to Super Bowl 59. Chiefs Kingdom sports many A-listers, including Taylor Swift, Paul Rudd and many more.

It hasn’t been a “Cruel Summer” for Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who has taken the pop culture world by storm with his romance with pop superstar Taylor Swift. In fact, it’s been something like a modern-day “Love Story.” The power couple first broke the internet when Swift accepted Kelce’s invitation to watch him play at Arrowhead Stadium in September 2023 after he watched her rock the same stadium during her wildly popular “Eras Tour.” The duo has captivated headlines since.

Taylor Swift is somewhat of a good luck charm — The Chiefs are 9-0 this season with Swift watching live and, dating back to last season, are 18-3 when she’s in the crowd. “(Swift) can stay around all she wants,” coach Andy Reid joked, alluding to his team’s success in her presence. It’s worth noting that Swift, a Pennsylvania native, was an Eagles fan before dating Travis Kelce. (Here, Swift arrives to Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on Kelce alongside his mother, Donna Kelce, on Nov 29, 2024.)

“Hey, look at us. Who would’ve thought” the Chiefs would make their fifth Super Bowl appearance in six seasons. Well, Paul Rudd surely did. The Kansas City superfan never misses the chance to declare his love for Patrick Mahomes: “It is strange for someone my age to look at someone his age and just love him so much. If it wasn’t just for the sports thing, it would be creepy.” Rudd presented Mahomes with the 2018 MVP award and even narrated the Chiefs’ 2007 season of HBO’s “Hard Knocks.” Rudd has watched Mahomes and Chiefs win several Super Bowls in person, including Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas on Feb. 11, 2024.

Have you ever heard of Andy Reid’s long-lost brother, Randy Reid? Well its actually “Modern Family” star Eric Stonestreet, who has an uncanny resemblance to Reid. He happens to be a Chiefs fan IRL. The Kansas City native has season tickets at Arrowhead Stadium above the same seats he sat in with his father as a kid. His love for hometown sports teams runs deep – Stonestreet joined the ownership group of the Kansas City Royals in 2019.

“Ted Lasso” star Jason Sudeikis is a known Chiefs superfan. He attended Shawnee Mission West High School (the same school Paul Rudd attended) in Overland Park, Kansas. “Kansas City just is part of my soul. It’s where I’m from. It’s where I was raised, it’s where my folks live and where a lot of good and bad things have happened to me and many other people,” he said following an Emmy win for the comedy in 2022.

These are the greatest days of my life,” he said in 2021. He kicked the season off by beating the Chiefs war drum at Arrowhead Stadium in September: “Here’s to a Chiefs 3-peat! Let’s make some history! LFG!”

That’s right, Superman is a Chiefs fan! Henry Cavill is from Great Britain and doesn’t have a hometown team, but the actor, who played the superhero in “Man of Steel” and its sequels, channeled Clark Kent when choosing who to root for. Kent, Superman’s alter ego, is from Smallville, Kansas. Cavill jokes that he was a Chiefs fan before Mahomes. “I’m not one of those Brits who came over here and chose the best team,” he said in 2024. Cavill attended Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas to cheer on the Chiefs.

Singer Kevin Richardson fell in love with the Chiefs back in the 1990s because, being from Kentucky, he didn’t have a hometown team. When superstars Joe Montana and Marcus Allen joined the squad, the Backstreet Boys member knew he found his franchise. Plus, his girlfriend-now-wife is from Kansas City, so the choice was easy. The Backstreet Boys have had a handful of Super Bowl moments, including singing the national anthem at Super Bowl 35 and appearing in a Doritos commercial for Super Bowl 53.

Kevin Hart bleeds Philly green as he was born in the city of Brotherly Love. He was famously snubbed from getting on stage during the Lombardi Trophy presentation the last time the Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2018. This year, he was on hand to watch his team dominate the NFC championship game — “truly one of the best days ever” — and is surely rooting the Eagles onto another Super Bowl victory. “Everybody knows I eat sleep and breathe green,” he said in 2022. “I love my city, I am my city. I’m a representation of what my city breeds and that’s not only good people, but good energy, but loyalty. We are some of the best fans in the world and when we see ours shine, we just want to be a part of that moment.”

Meek Mill is born and bred in Philadelphia and takes great pride in being an Eagles fan. His high-energy music has served as motivation for every team, but none moreso than “Dreams and Nightmares,” which became an unofficial anthem for the Eagles. Meek Mill told USA TODAY Sports that one of his favorite sports moment was when the Eagles came out to his song ahead of their Super Bowl 52 win while he was incarcerated in 2018. “My happiest day in prison,” he recalled in 2023. (Mahomes boycotted “Dreams and Nightmares” ahead of the Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl 57 matchup in 2023: “I’m a big Meek Mill fan, but I’m going to have to throw that music aside at least for this week.”)

Pink hails from nearby Doylestown Township, Pennsylvania, and reps her Eagles proudly. The singer was selected to sing the national anthem prior to Super Bowl 52 and she didn’t even let the flu stop her from cheering Philadelphia on to a victory over the Patriots in 2018. “This is one of the biggest honors of my life,” she said on Instagram at the time, “singing this song in front of my family, my military family, my dad and brother and step mama and family and the world. And the EAGLES!?!?! I promise I will do my best, as I always do.”

You know how it goes: “In West Philadelphia born and raised…” So who else would the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” actor root for than the Eagles? Will Smith gave the team a shout-out in his upcoming new single “Beautiful Scars,” rapping, “Fly as an Eagle, fresh out of Philly. Yeah, I still rep the city.” Smith’s household, however, is divided. His wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith, is from Baltimore and is a Ravens fan. You see the dilemma.

Lil Uzi Vert hails from Philadelphia, and his 2022 hit song “Just Wanna Rock” was the Eagles anthem in 2023. (Remember when Eagles great Jason Kelce performed the song’s viral TikTok choreography in the end zone following a touchdown that season?) Lil Uzi Vert led the team out of the tunnel as the song blared throughout the Linc at the 2023 NFC championship game. The team also used his song for their Super Bowl 57 entrance. “I’m not a griddy guy, I’m more of an Uzi guy,” Kelce said on his “New Heights” podcast.
