ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police are asking for the public’s help with finding a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting downtown earlier this month.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 near Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and North 10th Street. The victim, a 24-year-old man, was found with gunshot wounds inside a car and sent to a hospital for treatment.

Based on preliminary information, the victim was driving a vehicle when heard gunshots and felt pain to his body, then realizing he was shot.
On Wednesday, more than a week later, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department shared three surveillance photos of a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting.

The suspect is described as having a thin build and medium-length dreadlocks. On surveillance footage, he was seen wearing a jacket or coat with a distinct design.
Police say the suspect was revealed to be a passenger riding in a possibly 2012 silver Mazda 3 that had distinct black rims and damage to the front driver’s side fender, with a Missouri license plate of “BJ6T6W.”
