The women in the two incidents sought medical attention after being sexually assaulted at a residence on Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard in January.
PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police said they are searching for more victims after a man was arrested for sexually assaulting two women whom he had met through dating apps.
In January, two women separately contacted the Portland Police Bureau and reported that they had been sexually assaulted by a 26-year-old man, Cameron L. Hindman. They had met Lindman through dating apps, and in both incidents, the women said Lindman “used physical force to engage in sexual activity.” Both women, who were not named, had to seek medical attention.
The women reported that the incidents happened at a residence in the 4700 block of Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard.
Lats Friday, Hindman, of St. Helens, was taken into custody in Scappoose, on a related arrest warrant, PPB said. He faces charges of sexual abuse and sodomy.
This investigation is ongoing, and police have released Hindman’s booking photo in order to identify additional victims. Police did not specify which dating apps Hindman or the women used.
If anyone has information on those incidents or have had similar interactions with Hindman, they may contact crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov or 503-823-0266 and reference case No. 25-5362.
This is a developing story; check back for possible updates.
