Samsung’s big Unpacked event is just over a week away and the line-up might have just got even more exciting for Galaxy fans.
We already know, almost for certain, that Samsung will be unveiling its new range of foldable phones, primarily consisting of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
There will also be wearables in the form of the Galaxy Watch 8 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, but the most exciting news might be saved for the very end of the show.
Samsung is tipped to unveil its tri-fold smartphone, thought to be called the Galaxy G Fold.
We already said it might be possible in our Unpacked guide article, and it now seems more likely thanks to leaked information via Setsuna Digital on Weibo.
The leaker says the tri-fold, which will rival Huawei’s Mate XT Ultimate, will be announced in June, but also that it won’t be available until October.

Samsung has form
This isn’t too much of a shock, as if you’ve been watching Unpacked events for the last year or two, you’ll know that Samsung enjoys a shock announcement.
We saw it for the Galaxy Ring, which wasn’t even leaked before the event and went on sale many months later.
Then Samsung also did it with the Galaxy S25 Edge. This, too, went on sale a long time after its stablemates.
Don’t get too excited
While the Galaxy G Fold might be the Apple-style ‘one more thing’ reveal at Unpacked July, Samsung is unlikely to say much specific, or indeed anything at all, about the device.
We don’t have long to wait anyhow, so tune into Unpacked on 9 July for all the news.
