A major leak for the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE reveals a great deal about the company’s next affordable flagship phone – but not the piece of information I really want to know.
Established tipster OnLeaks has teamed up with SammyGuru to publish detailed renders of the follow-up to the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. Unsurprisingly, it looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy S25 and the Samsung Galaxy S25+.
That even extends to the new skinnier body, which now apparently measures just 7.4mm thick.
The bezels also appear to be a little slimmer than the previous model, though you still get that telltale chunky chin. Indeed, with a 161.4 x 76.6mm footprint, Samsung appears to have learned at least one of the lessons from last year’s model and has made its new phone a little smaller.
Samsung Galaxy S25 FE specs
According to this fresh leak, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE will have much the same 6.7-inch Super AMOLED 120Hz display as its predecessor – albeit potentially with a higher peak brightness of 2,600 nits.
Previous rumours have claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE will run on either the Exynos 2400 or the MediaTek Dimensity 9400. Here’s hoping for the latter, as it’s a newer and more capable chip.
We’re not expecting a massive camera upgrade from the Galaxy S24 FE, which is a bit of a shame, as we described that photographic set-up as being “behind the best” in our review.
However, the phone may well feature the same 12MP front camera as the Samsung Galaxy S25, which would represent an upgrade.

Missing the important bit
All of this is very good – though I would have liked a dash more excitement to go with my sleek almost-flagship phone. But the really important detail remains elusive: the release date.
One persistent criticism of the Samsung Galaxy S FE range is that these phones always come out too late in the year.
By October, we’re only a few months out from the new generation of (non-FE) Galaxy S phone. This means that the hype cycle for those phones is in full swing, with many of the salient spec details already well known through various leaks and rumours. Who wants a brand new reminder of the outgoing handset at that point?
More importantly, the outgoing Galaxy S model – compared to which the ‘new’ FE model is a stripped-back lesser model – is invariably available at a heavily discounted price. It can often be picked up brand new for similar money to the new FE, rendering the launch of the latter somewhat pointless.
It’s great that we now know what the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is going to look like, and that we have a reasonable idea of its likely specs. But what we really need to know is when it’s going to come to market – along with a price, naturally.
