Several good fashion sales to report this week. First, J.Crew is taking up to 50 percent off all the summer staples you’ll need to survive next week’s heat wave. Nordstrom is offering an extra 25 percent off clearance items through Sunday night, a deal that only crops up a handful of times per year, so don’t dillydally. And if you’re willing to splurge, Reformation and Lack of Color’s sales are definitely worth a look.

At last, a good J.Crew sale: Summer staples are up to 50 percent off through Monday night. This breezy linen top — which reminds me of one of our favorite button-ups for men — comes in eight colors.
Reformation added a bunch of new items to its sale section. It’s mostly dresses and skirts, but my favorite piece is this going-out top for $44.
A few mix-and-match bikinis joined the fray, too. This petal-pink shade is especially cute.
I found some ultra-mini shorts from Reformation’s collaboration with Devon Lee Carlson for nearly half off at Nordstrom.
If you’d like something longer (and less expensive), these jorts from Urban Outfitters’s in-house brand are just $22 and come in three washes.
These shorts from Beyond Yoga toe the line between athleisure and workwear: They’re made from a stretchy, wrinkleproof fabric and feature trouserlike details like pleating and side-seam pockets.
I’ve had my eye on these Madewell jeans since we wrote about them in March (a.k.a. Jeans Month). I feel I no longer have any excuses not to hit the “buy” button now that they’re just $57.
Our encyclopedia of summer dresses under $150 launched earlier this week, and one of our maxi picks is now half off. It comes recommended by Strategist contributor Katie Stone, who wore it on a single-day endeavor to the Hamptons and dinner upon her return to the city. “I think it says a lot that I could spend upward of 12 hours in this dress, five of which were on a Coach bus, without even a second of discomfort,” she writes.
In this case, LBD stands for “little brown dress.”
Strategist-approved footwear brand Larroudé is offering 40 percent off several sandals this weekend. The flower-shaped hardware on these leather flats is a nice touch.
A woven leather purse to go with one of the above, perhaps?
We love Cotopaxi bags. But if a price tag of $300 is too high, I spotted this much more affordable option for day hikes and everyday wear. And it’s still available in four colors, no less.
Lack of Color’s sun hats are another splurge we often recommend, but luckily you won’t have to pay full price on most of them right now. You really can’t go wrong with any of them; but you’ll definitely get the most sun protection from the compliment-inducing Holiday bucket hat.
All tees and shorts are buy one, get one 50 percent off at Urban Outfitters. (You’ll get the discount on the less-expensive item at checkout.)
J.Crew’s got lots of great summer shirts on sale, especially if you’re in the market for something with a camp collar.
But perhaps the real stars of the sale are the shorts and pants, of which there are many linen and canvas options to choose from. (And they won’t look out of place in the office or the bar.)
Carhartt’s sturdy beach-slash-work tote comes in two jewel tones: emerald green and seafoam blue.
My gym-bag hypochlorous-acid face mist is 20 percent off. I like to use this post-workout to keep bacteria at bay until I can get home and shower. (Plus, it just feels nice when you’re sweaty!)
A solid deal on an inexpensive electric toothbrush from a brand we trust. You may have to apply the on-site coupon on some colors to get the full discount.
If you find hydrating to be a chore, here are some tasty electrolyte powders we like, especially for post-workout fueling.
If you’re short on floor space, here’s a portable air conditioner that’s only about the size of a large kitchen trash can. It has two fan speeds, operates at 50 decibels in its higher setting, and can cool down about 350 square feet of space.
Now 40 percent off, these colorful Moomin mugs are available in four designs featuring the Finnish family and their friends.
A Fishwife gift set includes two of the brand’s favorite cans — smoked Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout — a citrus candle (to rid your home of fish smells), and matchbook.
Apple’s newest Beats earbuds are our top pick for working out. They have great noise cancellation, built-in heart-rate tracking, and are as easy to pair as Apple’s other devices.
If you’re just looking for something under $50, we trust Anker to make reliable products.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a sizable amount of deals in the kids’ clearance section at Nordstrom, mainly from Mini Boden.
And there are some very good deals on Barbies, too!
This space-themed activity set looks like it’d be a good addition to your road-trip kit.
