A town council has its first Reform UK councillor after the party’s candidate won a by-election by 359 votes.
Tony Harrison secured a place on Rotherham Borough Council by winning 1,160 votes in a by-election for the Keppel ward, with an Independent candidate placing second and Labour third.
The by-election was triggered when former Labour councillor Carole Foster announced she was standing down in May.
Reform UK congratulated Mr Harrison on his win in a post on the party’s Facebook page.
