CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati brought creativity and compassion to the runway during this year’s Retrofittings, held at Cincinnati Music Hall. The annual fundraiser pairs fashion design students from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) with St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores to create one-of-a-kind looks from repurposed clothing and accessories.

Guests enjoyed an evening of boutique shopping, auctions, and an inspiring fashion show that celebrated sustainability and community giving. Each upcycled design reflected the event’s mission — transforming everyday items into something extraordinary, much like St. Vincent de Paul transforms lives through its programs and outreach.
Proceeds from RetroFittings support St. Vincent de Paul’s efforts to provide emergency assistance, food, housing, and hope to neighbors throughout Greater Cincinnati. For more than 150 years, the organization has been a trusted local resource for families facing hardship, offering help with dignity and compassion.
The night served as a reminder that when creativity and generosity come together, real change can shine — on the runway and in the community.
