Roma are pushing for Joshua Zirkzee in the January transfer window, with reports ‘there is no doubt he wants to leave’ Manchester United, but West Ham United provide competition.
The Giallorossi had already been linked with the striker over the last few months, but the situation has changed with the serious injury to Artem Dovbyk.

Now that the Ukraine international is expected to be out of action for at least a couple of months, the focus has turned to strengthening the front line.
Zirkzee’s name is near the top of the list, especially if Manchester United are prepared to let him go in January on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Crucially, they would also have to cover part of his wages, which are far too high for the Serie A side.
Zirkzee demands more playing time

“There is no doubt that Zirkzee wants to leave in the January transfer window, because of the World Cup, and he’s just not getting enough minutes, he’s not getting enough trust I don’t think,” Mirror Sport Chief Football Writer John Cross told Calciomercato.it.
“But then whether United are open to this at the moment remains to be seen, because obviously Sesko I don’t think has a long-term injury, but Zirkzee does provide back-up, competition and different options, so I don’t really think Amorim wants to let him go.
“But, player definitely wants more game time and definitely wants something in January.”
Calciomercato.it also note that the former Bologna striker has alternatives to remain in the Premier League, as West Ham United are in talks with his agent too.
