The report further suggests Real Madrid club president Florentino Perez has identified Haaland as the top candidate to step in for Vinicius.
Perez’s plans include pairing Haaland and Mbappe together as part of a deadly attack in the Spanish capital.
Haaland’s current contract at Man City runs until the summer of 2034 and the Norwegian is not currently looking for move away from the Etihad Stadium.
City are also not expected to be open to letting go of their phenomenal goal scorer, unless an irresistible bid lands for his services. The 25-year-old has netted a total of 124 goals and provided 21 assists in 146 appearances for the Premier League giants.
