Starting with a VIP launch party, just a few of the highlights included “Denim After Dark.” at Loft 22; “Mayan Textiles: Art, Tradition, and Technique.” at the National Museum of Mexican Art; the exhibition “Isabella Blow: Aesthete & Decadent of the 1990s.” in Andersonville; “The Chicago Streetwear Expo: Street Art Edition.” at Xoco House Gallery; and “Fleurotica” (featuring garments made entirely from plants, flowers and natural materials), which took place, fittingly, at the Garfield Park Conservatory.

And, of course, there were numerous runway events, including “Threaded Stories: A Runway Show of Distinctive Fashion,” in Evanston; “Runway LatinX 2025,” at CineCity Studios; CWILLI Fall ‘25 Runway, at Hammy Wammy; and “The Indie Fashion Show: Where Fashion Becomes Performance,” in Berwyn.

Among the runway shows was “Runway on Rush,” a one-night-only Chicago Fashion Week pop-up at the Gold Coast spot Tavern on Rush. The spot featured an informal runway presentation of LGBTQ+ designer Richard Dayhoff’s 2026 spring/summer sustainable men’s premium underwear collection. Dayhoff’s clothing designs have been sold for more than two decades in more than 300 retail establishments across the country, including Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Takashimaya.
