Quad Leaders ‘Seriously Concerned’ About South China Sea Situation: Statement

The leaders of the United States, Australia, India and Japan said after a summit on Saturday that they were “seriously concerned” over tensions in the South and East China Seas — while avoiding any direct mention of Beijing.

“We are seriously concerned about the situation in the East and South China Seas,” they said in a declaration after meeting in US President Joe Biden’s hometown.
