QC international fashion show to benefit groups that serve refugees

MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) –Davenport-Bettendorf AAUW is presenting the International Fashion Show at Butterworth Center (1105 Eighth Street, Moline, IL) from 2 to 4 p.m. on June 1.

The group invites the public to join them in celebrating global cultures and making a positive impact in our community as proceeds go to Tapestry Farms, QCAIR, and World Relief, who serve refugees in our local community. All donations will be matched dollar for dollar.

The event is being held as a memorial to Elaine Kresse, the group’s long time leader and guide, who was very active in helping refugees in the Quad Cities.

Important note

The need for refugees is critical; these local organizations have lost up to 90% of their funding and case workers. Your support is more vital than ever!

About the organization
