LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) – North Laurel hung around with Pulaski County in the first half, but the Maroons shut the Jags down in the second half, winning 49-14.

North Laurel trailed 13-7 in the second frame, but then marched down the field to score, thanks to a QB sneak from Jude McWhorter on fourth and goal. That put the Jaguars up, 14-13.

Travis Burns’ crew got the ball back late in the first half. That drive culminated with a pitch and catch from Zak Anderson to Winston Ford to make it 28-14.

The Maroons scored 21 unanswered in the second half and shut out the Jags in the process.

Pulaski County hosts archnemesis Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24.

The Jaguars have a date with their cross-town rival as well, taking on South Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24.
