Prince Harry arrives at Clarence House to meet King Charles

The King had a private tea with his son, the Duke of Sussex, it is understood.

Speculation mounted earlier this week about whether the King will be reunited with his son, during his brief return to the UK.

Harry had not seen his father in around 19 months and was reportedly open to meeting Charles, who has been receiving cancer treatment since early 2024.

Charles is in London, having travelled from his Balmoral home, where he has been spending his summer break.

His son recently visited the Centre for Blast Injury Studies at Imperial College London, an institution with which he has close connections.

The Duke has been carrying out a string of events since arriving back home on Monday (September 8) and began a four-day working stay by leaving flowers at the final resting place of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, to mark the third anniversary of her death.

Harry’s visit has reignited commentary about the state of his relationship with senior members of the Royal Family.
