The Premier League title got a bit of a shake-up on Saturday, Nov. 22 with Manchester City and Liverpool both suffering losses in pursuit of first-place Arsenal.
Defending champion Liverpool was routed 3-0 at home by Nottingham Forest and has now lost six of their seven league games, falling to 11th in the table after the day’s games. City, meanwhile, lost 2-1 on the road against Newcastle United.
That’s a crucial three points dropped with Arsenal facing rival Tottenham in the North London Derby on Sunday.
“It’s a problem,” Liverpool captain Van Dijk told Sky Sports after the loss. “Everyone in the team has to take responsibility… We have to digest this and take it on the chin.”
