Prayagraj: The surveillance cell of the Ganga Nagar police of the Prayagraj Commissionerate Police returned 101 lost mobile phones worth around Rs 31.42 lakh to their owners on Monday. DCP (Ganga Nagar) Kuldeep Singh said the surveillance team worked tirelessly to trace the lost devices using advanced technical methods. “The recovery process involved coordinated efforts between multiple police units, and officers verified technical and physical evidence, call records, CCTV footage, the CEIR portal, and location tracking to recover the mobiles,” he added.The department encourages citizens to promptly report lost phones through official channels. They emphasise the importance of maintaining proper documentation of device details, including IMEI numbers.
