Several pedestrians worked with rescue services to lift a taxi off a teenage girl whose leg was trapped under a wheel after an accident in Hong Kong on Monday.
The 13-year-old girl was struck by the taxi while crossing Laguna Street in the Laguna City residential estate in Kowloon at 6.55pm, trapping her right ankle under one of the wheels.
Witnesses immediately called emergency services, while several men at the scene rushed to help.
Photos from the scene show the taxi at a pedestrian crossing, with firefighters and paramedics crouched near the front right side of the vehicle, working to rescue the trapped girl.
A witness told the media the girl, who was wearing a school uniform, was lying on the ground, crying out in pain.
Several men joined forces to lift the taxi, while others provided comfort to the girl and contacted her family.
